June 16th Grow the Flow Forum and Town Hall recap, news articles, upcoming events, and more!
The Legal Update
As of today, June 22, 2026, we are on day 14, going into week 3, after filing our appeal with the county to reverse their decision about the referendum. We are still in limbo waiting to hear anything. The countdown is on!
Events Recap
Tuesday, June 16, 2026 had our very own Brenna Williams at the Grow the Flow Forum and Town Hall event in Sunset, Utah. Unfortunately, the live stream had some sound issues and we weren’t able to hear Brenna or Nat Williams of Stewardship Utah’s forum speeches, but I was able to get Brenna’s speech.
In summary, she talked about the anger, powerlessness, and betrayal we all feel.
She reminds us that B.E.A.R. refuses to back down, that we built this group specifically to fight against this project and educate others about data centers.
Brenna calls us to vote according to the issues, not just the party - as a lifelong conservative, this has hit home for her.
Lastly, she sends a message to everyone in the state of Utah - that we as B.E.A.R. need your support, but we also want to support you! Box Elder’s fight is your fight, and there’s even more data center projects already being built, even while we are in extreme drought.
To paraphrase Brenna in her closing statements, these data centers are like a cancer that grows and spreads, hurting and destroying everything they touch.
We are all in this fight together!
You can watch the recording of the event here to see the rest of the speeches, which included Nat Williams of Stewardship Utah, Rhonda Lauritzen, whose family owns land in the Hansel Valley on the northern edge of the Great Salt Lake, and Ben Abbot from Grow the Flow and BYU Environmental Science.
Senate President Stuart Adams, Braden Hess, and Stephanie Hollist were the guests for the town hall portion, answering questions about their stances on various issues, a prominent one being, of course, data centers. All three of them are running in Senate District 7 as Republicans.

What specific rules or protections do you want to see our local leaders put in place over the next 180 days to actually protect our watershed and earn back public trust?
